Constructing Digipak

This is the original photo that was taken of Michael our lead singer for our digipak. We got him to stand behind a white wall, as this would make it easier for us to edit him on Picmonkey.

On PicMonkey we then used the different types of tools, effects and colours to bring our digipak to life. This was done though the use of airbush. As we made his jawline and facial features more defined and stand out. We tried to make the digipak black and white to fit the Jazz feel and overall fill of the band and the music video.

We then started to experiment with the different colours, to see what will look better for our digipak, as we wanted the best we could achieve.

Even though this edit looked good, it didn't fit in with our over theme.

Which then lead to this being our final product, on which we were all happy with.

Music Video Rough cut/Feedback

We put together a short rough cut to show how our music video is coming along so far. We got a couple of people to watch this so they could get an idea of what direction our music video is moving towards.  They advised us to sync the footage of Michael singing quicker to the time of the actual song, as it was too fast. As well change to different type shots of Michael singing from long, medium to close up shots.

Editing the music video

After filming our music video. We then gathered all the footage we had to then be able to start to edit our music video together. This is through the use of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. Adobe helped me to not only develop my editing skills but to also create the music video as a whole. A lot of mistakes were made, this is shown through our rough cut. Although through the use of editing we were able to cover up these mistakes and make the footage look as professional as we could. The use of the razor and dissolve effect helped create the whole music video which is shown in our final product.

Filming the music video

As a group we decided to film our music video footage in Wintervile in Mile end and in our band room. This is the feel we decided that the music video needed as it's about a couple who were together and broke up. The boyfriend went back to Wintervile which is the same location he has all the good memories with his girlfriend. He is singing and reminiscing at the same time.
